ENGINEERING A BASS
  FISHING CAREER

Curt stood apart from most anglers early in his career by the approach he used in becoming a full-time tournament bass fisherman. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he was accustomed to problem solving and devised a plan for how to best climb the ladder to the professional level. This plan, combined with a well-developed tournament strategy and solid fishing skills, took him into the winner’s circle several times in just his first few years.

Now having five years of professional experience Curt has refined his earlier plan and tournament strategy. He still favors a "win-or-lose" tournament strategy that has earned him three wins in FLW EverStart and B.A.S.S. Invitational tournaments; but he also knows when to set his sights on consistent finishes. The ability to adjust his strategy has qualified him for the BASSMaster’s Classic in two consecutive years, 2000 and 2001.

With the success Curt has achieved on the tournament trails, he is able to fulfill even more of his dreams. Tournament fishing allows him to spend time outdoors seeing the beauty that nature offers and grants him the opportunity to meet numerous bass fishing fans across the country. He always enjoys talking with fellow fisherman about fishing, the equipment he uses, and the best ways to help our environment
